Not Your Average Taco Truck

By Paige Patterson

Tacos Fiesta Mexicana
If you have ever driven down 11th street then you might have seen Tacos Fiesta Mexicana taco truck. While you might be skeptical of eating from here, you should think again.

Tacos Fiesta Mexicana has delicious homemade food freshly made each day with great prices. The most expensive item is $8. The owner, Francisco Gonzalez worked in many restaurants around Tulsa until he decided he wanted to open his own business, which Tacos Fiesta Mexicana opened in 2010.

Some items to choose from

Gonzalez told me he is the only person that works in the truck so asked if he stays busy, “The cold weather kills my business, but spring time and summer time is when business really starts picking up,” Gonzalez said.

It is easy for Gonzalez to take his business around town considering he is in a truck, so sometimes he does carryout jobs for local parties.

A customer was eating his food nearby and when I asked how he liked the food he said, “I love this place. No way are you going to find a better taco for $1.50.”

This is his only taco truck in Tulsa right now, but Gonzalez plans on expanding his business this year out around 129th street.

If you still are unsure about eating here, stop by sometime this summer or check out this link to see how other Tulsans rate it!
