Put down the cheeseburger! Oklahomans face many health issues—especially obesity.
Obesity is defined as the percentage of adults who have a body mass index (BMI) of 30.0 or higher, according to self-reported height and weight.

According to recent health data, about 29.8 to 35.4 percent of Oklahoma adults ages of 18 to 64 are
obese.
Obesity can lead to many other health problems including heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and premature death, among others.

Of the 50 states, Oklahoma ranks 44th for overall health, according to the 1990 to 2013 annual report. As of 2013, Oklahoma is ranked at 49 in overall health.
