Antoinette Baking Co. offers the freshest selections of
macaroons, cookies, brownies, quiches, cakes, and pies on Brookside. Located on South Peoria Avenue, this quaint
bakery was opened a year ago by Molly Martin and Andrea Mohn, as an upcoming
destination for hungry customers who wanted to get away from Brookside’s
weekend commotion.
It provides a unique
atmosphere with vintage tables, chairs, and decor. It’s the perfect place to energize before a
day of work, bring a date, or unwind after a stressful day.
Antoinette Baking Co. was originally started as a day
bakery, open only Monday through Friday, 7a.m.-4p.m. Andrea wanted to add more to the evening
scene on Brookside and started “Pie Night”.
A slice of the Mile High Chocolate Pie. |
Hosted every Friday and Saturday evening 7p.m.-10p.m., Pie
Night offers the perfect date night opportunity. They serve giant slices of pie (for two) at
$5 a slice. In addition, its
constantly changing menu offers customers the opportunity to choose from four
to five flavors each night.
I ordered a slice of the “Mile High Pie”, Antoinette’s most
popular pie, which consisted of a chocolate crumb layer topped with chocolate
mousse and a mound of whipped cream.
After finishing my pie, I chatted with the cashier- a
current University of Tulsa student. “We
pre-make about 30 pies for each night of the weekend. On some nights, all 30 are gone by 8:30p.m.,”
said Maggie Lane.
I definitely recommend stopping by Antoinette Baking Co. No matter what your mood or craving, you
won’t be disappointed! You can check out
